PROGRAM
During this intensive 5-day workshop, participants will learn step by step how to design and build a traditional rosette for classical guitar.
Topics covered
- Different rosette styles and design possibilities
- Various construction techniques: building a single rosette or several simultaneously
- Traditional motifs such as mosaic, herringbone, meander, and their construction methods
- Wood and veneer selection: suitable species, veneer types, and colour combinations
- Choosing and using appropriate glues
- Using veneer scrapers for precise thicknessing of wood and veneer
- Designing and composing mosaic patterns
- Rosette assembly techniques, including clamping and gluing systems
- Introduction to hot hide glue techniques
The workshop is strongly focused on practical work and hands-on learning.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have the knowledge and practical experience needed to reproduce the process independently in their own workshop

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is intended for guitar makers and luthiers with prior woodworking or instrument-making experience. It is not designed for complete beginners.
To ensure individual guidance and a high-quality learning experience, the workshop is limited to a maximum of 5 participants.
